Dr. William Morang, a native of Athens, is a distinguished figure in the dental community. He completed his undergraduate studies at Tulane University in 2005, graduating with a double major in Cell and Molecular Biology and Spanish. Following his graduation, Dr. Morang deepened his knowledge in anatomical sciences at the University of Georgia. It was during this period that he began assisting his father, Dr. James Morang, a renowned orthodontist, in charity dental work at the Athens Nurses Clinic. These experiences, coupled with numerous mission trips to Nicaragua, Peru, and Mexico, profoundly inspired Dr. Morang to embark on a career in dentistry.

Before entering dental school, Dr. Morang managed a junior sailing program in Annapolis, Maryland, for two years, showcasing his leadership skills and passion for sailing. He then pursued his dental education at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2012.

As an active member of the American Dental Association and the current president of the Clarke County Dental Society, Dr. Morang has dedicated his career to providing comprehensive dental care ranging from preventative treatments to cosmetic rehabilitation. He is deeply committed to offering personalized and compassionate services to his patients.

In his leisure time, Dr. Morang cherishes moments with his family and indulges in his love for sailing, frequently participating in sailboat races at the lake. He continues his tradition of giving back to the community by providing charity dental care at the Athens Nurses Clinic on Fridays.
